The short version

Spot a group is a marketplace: hosts run their own groups and are independent professionals, not our employees. Be respectful, keep what is shared in a group confidential, and if a session wasn’t worth it, we refund you — no questions asked.

1. Who we are

Spot a group is operated by Sistemas Técnicos Avanzados de Galicia (CIF B32281453), C/ Valle Inclán 22, 4 B, 32004 Ourense, Spain. By creating an account or booking a session you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform.

2. What spot a group is

Spot a group is an online marketplace that connects people with group sessions run by licensed psychologists and vetted facilitators (“hosts”). Hosts are independent professionals: they design and run their own sessions, set their own prices and schedules, and are solely responsible for the professional services they provide.

We verify host credentials before their first session goes live, but we are not a healthcare provider and we do not supervise the content of sessions. Nothing on the platform is medical advice from us, and group sessions are not a substitute for individual diagnosis or treatment by a professional who knows your situation.

3. Not an emergency service

Spot a group is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (112 in Spain and most of Europe). In Spain, the 024 line offers free, confidential crisis support around the clock.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use spot a group.
  • The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done from your account. Tell us right away if you suspect someone else is using it.

5. Bookings and payment

Prices are set by each host and shown clearly before you book, with no hidden fees. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never store your full card details. Once a booking is confirmed, you join the session through the platform’s built-in video at the scheduled time.

6. Refunds

If after a session you feel it wasn’t worth it, we refund you in full — no forms, no explanations, no questions asked. Just tell us. If a host cancels a session, you are refunded automatically.

This promise goes beyond your statutory rights as a consumer under Spanish and European law, which remain unaffected.

7. For hosts

If you run groups on spot a group, you additionally agree that:

  • The credentials and licence information you provide are accurate, and you will keep them current.
  • You are responsible for your own professional obligations — licensing, professional confidentiality, insurance and taxes — in the jurisdictions where you practise.
  • You will run sessions as described in your listing: real prices, real schedules, real group sizes.
  • Fees and payouts work as described on the hosting page.

8. Community rules

Groups only work when people feel safe. By using the platform you agree to:

  • Keep it confidential. What is shared in a group stays in the group. Do not repeat, share or publish what other participants say.
  • Never record a session, in any form.
  • Be respectful. No harassment, discrimination, intimidation or disruptive behaviour — in sessions, reviews or messages.
  • Use the platform honestly. No fake accounts, fake reviews, scraping, or attempts to take transactions off the platform to avoid its protections.

Breaking these rules can lead to removal from a session without refund, and to suspension or closure of your account.

9. Reviews and content

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. By posting content on the platform (reviews, profile information, listings) you give us a non-exclusive licence to display it on spot a group. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

10. Intellectual property

The platform — its design, code, brand and content we create — belongs to us or our licensors. Hosts keep the rights to their own session materials. You may not copy, scrape or reuse the platform beyond normal use.

11. Liability

We work hard to keep the platform available and safe, but we provide it “as is” and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Hosts are responsible for the professional services they deliver; our responsibility is the operation of the marketplace itself.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Spanish or European law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

12. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time from your profile or by contacting us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms — where reasonably possible, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. For material changes we will notify you by email or with a notice on the platform before they take effect. Using the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you may bring disputes before the courts of your place of residence. Before anything formal, please talk to us — most issues are solved with one message.
